What an “experience!”

Bishop Hall provides an opportunity twice a year for students to participate in an extended off-campus/overnight “experiential.” These “experientials” are academic-based trips for the students to experience new activities.

This unique experience is made possible by grants provided to the school from a variety of non-profit organizations. The student only has to pay $15-$25- varying depending on the trip. This money is given back to the student to spend throughout the trip. The school requires that the fee is paid before registering for a trip due to a limited number of slots. If a student is unable to pay the fee, they can be paid for by school, or a supporting teacher. This means that even those students facing a financial difficulty can participate.

This is my first year at Bishop Hall. I was able to be a part of the group which went to Panama City and had a wonderful time meeting new people from my school, making new friends, and learning new things. This was the perfect trip for me.

This experiential opportunity has changed my views on some of the students, and a few of the faculty at Bishop Hall. I have been able to get to know more of the students and faculty because of the trip. This was a great experience and I would recommend that every Bishop Hall student goes on at least one. I plan to go again in the spring, before I graduate.
