On Friday, January 27, students from Bishop Hall volunteered at Second Harvest Food Bank. They completed multiple given tasks, including sorting and throwing away food that was out of date. The students arrived early that morning. They signed in and were rushed into the back of the organizations building where they began taking instructions on what the workers at Second Harvest wanted them to accomplish that day.

There were two stations that students participated in. Students at station one were in charge of sorting through food boxes, separating the in-date food from the expired food. They threw away what was out of date and sorted the in-date food into separate boxes. Some students began folding wax boxes, while others opened boxes of food to be sorted. They broke down the original boxes that the food was in and put it away to be baled and recycled.

This group worked with Mrs. Babcock, Mrs. Miranda, and Dr. Wiggins. Station two was similar to station one but the students were separating food into different food groups; such as snacks, drinks, and grains. The students worked with Mrs. Thompson and Mr. Miranda, working diligently to complete as much of the given task as possible.
